FAQ’s for the 25 year club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

1. What does NB Power cover when an employee joins the 25-year club?

RESPONSE: When an employee first enters the 25-year club, NB Power will cover the cost of the hotel and banquet meal for the employee and their guest.  Please refer to the HR policy “HR-73 25 Year Club” for more information.

2. What does NB Power cover when an employee celebrates a 30,35,40,45,50-year milestone?

RESPONSE:  NB Power will cover the cost of the Banquet meal for the employee and guest. Please refer to the HR policy “HR-73 25 Year Club” for more information.

3. What is the attire for the banquet/dance?

RESPONSE: Semi-formal dress is recommended. Have a look at pictures on our club site under “about us” on the NB Power website.

4. Does the club accept e-transfer?

RESPONSE: Yes, we do.  E-transfers can be sent to [email protected] and please note in the comments what the payment is for and for whom.

5. What events are part of the day?

RESPONSE:  Upon registration, members can expect a number of events during the day – come and enjoy breakfast with other members, several booths will be set up to provide updates on different areas of the organization, blood pressure and sugars testing, raffle on donated items, live auction for larger donations, 50/50 tickets, money tree tickets, Annual General Meeting update, late afternoon social event, banquet and dance.

6. Do I need to bring cash to the event?

RESPONSE:  The club is set up to accept e-transfer payments ahead of the actual day of the AGM.  During the day there will be opportunity to purchase 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets/auction items as well as tickets for a gift card tree and we recommend that cash be brought.  Breakfast and lunch items will be provided free of charge for club members in good standing.

7. How much are annual dues and what does the “dues” payment cover?

RESPONSE:  Club annual dues are $20/year and the dues are used to cover club expenses and the issuance of eight annual, club sponsored $500 scholarships for member children and grand children.
